Paul Chalfin, the designer of the Vizcaya estate, spared no expense while creating intricate details such as this 158 foot long stone Italian barge. It sits in Biscayne Bay with the skyline of Miami in the background. The winged female sculptures and mermaids are the work of Alexander Calder. The fifty acre property is also adorned with elaborate gardens and is encircled by the Rockland Hammock natural forest.
