On the horizon from this elevated view of Tutu Bay is a privately held yet uninhabited island called Thatch Cay. During the 19th century it was home to a Danish plantation called The Hope. Then in the early 20th century it had a small fishing community that harvested the abundant lobsters off shore. But in 2000 the 230 acres were purchased and are awaiting development.
