Since the USS Missouri was commissioned in 1944, the ship saw action during World War II, the Korean War and the Gulf War. The Mighty Mo was also the venue for the Japanese surrender ceremony on September 2, 1945. In 1998, the final battleship built in the U.S. was donated to Pearl Harbor.
