Oher areas included in this coveted designation are Tijuca National Park (forest covers over 9,700 acres), the Botanical Garden (7,000 species of plants in 350 acres), Corcovado mountain (with the Christ the Redeemer statue at the peak) and this coastline of Guanabara Bay including Copacabana Beach.
