This beautiful, art deco tower near Pershing Square was built in 1931 by a father and son named Parkinson who were also the architects for other downtown landmarks. If the Title Guarantee and Trust Building looks vaguely familiar, then you were probably a fan of the Lou Grant TV show because this was the fictional headquarters of the Los Angeles Times. It is now an apartment building.
