South Beach is renowned for its fabulous art deco architecture. In fact, the Old Miami Beach Historic District contains over 800 of these beautiful buildings that were built during the late 1920s and into the 1940s. But clearly my favorite is the St. Moritz Tower on Collins Avenue. This classic, white high-rise was built in 1939 with spectacular views of the beach along the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of two buildings that now comprise the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.
