Nestled in the southern part of Germany’s Black Forest is Todtnau, a small town of less than 5,000 that enjoys the river Wiese and panoramic scenes of lush, green trees. Judging from the view from St. John the Baptist Church, the town hosts plenty of skiers in the winter on the region’s highest mountains. It also offers the country’s longest toboggan ride called the Hasenhorn roller coaster. The track is almost two miles long.
