Ruins of Santa Clara Convent in Antigua, Guatemala

There are two courtyards to explore in Santa Clara Convent. The main one is graced with a fountain surrounded by two levels of arched columns. You can imagine the nuns walking peacefully along the arcades. Outlines of their living quarters, kitchen, dining area and other rooms remain. The second open section is these disheveled remains of the gardens. The colonnade is a former wall of the cloister.
