The Center for the Fine Arts was founded in Miami in 1984. The institution later became the Miami Art Museum and was renamed again after this new building opened in 2013. The Pérez Art Museum Miami is located at the growing, 30 acre site of Museum Park along the downtown waterfront. This contemporary art museum was named after one of its major benefactors, Jorge M. Pérez. PAMM has an extensive, permanent collection of international artworks from the 20th and 21st centuries.
