After two previous attempts at building a suitable swimming pool were considered inadequate and therefore removed, this heated one was completed in 1936. It holds 345,000 gallons of water. It is named after the Roman god of the sea and includes a colonnade of Roman columns that date back to the 1st-4th centuries.
