Mercado Municipal is a cultural and culinary experience housed in a 1937 riverfront building. Inside are an array of kiosks displaying fish, meat, fruit, produce and herbal medicines made from indigenous plants. Other vendors will please your taste buds with regional coffee, tapioca crepes, cakes and sandwiches. Outside of Municipal Market is typically surrounded by locals selling their handicrafts.
