If you wore a black hat with big round ears while sitting in front of your parent’s black and white TV, then you know the answer to the musical question, “Who is the leader of the club that’s made for you and me?” Of course, this was the opening theme to “The Mickey Mouse Club.” The children’s variety show ran from 1955 to 1996. During the initial years, Mickey pranced around waving a baton as the leader of the band. This fountain in Toontown was a nostalgic reminder of my years as a Musketeer.
