The Miami Seaquarium opened in 1955 and is still delighting over a half million visitors a year with marine life exhibits. The attraction’s most popular show is with Lolita. The killer whale arrived at the park in 1970. But this orca has not always been the most famous resident. That title goes to a bottlenose dolphin. During the 1960s, the TV series “Flipper” was filmed at this entertainment center on Virginia Key.
