The world’s largest hydroelectric dam in terms of energy generated is Itaipu Dam. It is enormous! Measurements are 4.5 miles long and 643 feet high. That height is equivalent to a 65 story skyscraper. Each of the 20 generators can produce 700 million watts a year thanks to the flow of the Paraná River.
