The Bonnet House Museum and Gardens is a beautiful attraction to visit. The property suspends in time the winter estate of an elite, early 20th century family. It is built on a barrier island with backwaters, sloughs and foliage similar to when the Tequesta Indians lived here millenniums ago. This is a reproduction of their Island Theater. The original was built in 1938. The Bartlett’s used to charge their guests two matching seashells to come inside to watch movies.
