During the Snake River’s 1000+ mile journey through the Pacific Northwest, it passes through Idaho Falls, creating a waterfall by the same name. As part of a dam for a hydroelectric plant, the drop is only 20 feet. However, the 1,200 foot length of the falls is impressive. In the background is a 1942 Mormon temple dedicated to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
