Just after getting the name Beverly Hills in 1906 as part of a real estate development but before the movie stars started building their mansions here during the Roaring 20s, a huge sign was built in front of a lily pond in Santa Monica Park. The pond was removed during the 1970s but was rebuilt in 2014 on its original site in front this 40 foot iconic sign. Both are located in Beverly Gardens Park.
