A long list of Hollywood celebrities were members of the Freemasonry fraternal organization so when this elaborate, neoclassical temple opened on Hollywood Boulevard in 1921, it was filled with Tinseltown’s A-list. The Masons left the building in 1982. After The Walt Disney Company purchased it in 1998, it was extensively renovated and became the El Capitan Entertainment Center. As advertised by the red banners, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show is broadcast from a studio inside.
