The heritage of downtown Naples dates back to the early 1930s when only a small strip mall, the telephone company, the Chamber of Commerce, a train station and Club 41 were here. Patrons of the area included Charles Lindberg and Gary Cooper. Today, this section of Fifth Avenue South in Old Naples is graced with exquisite and colorful architecture that gives it a distinctive, almost European atmosphere.
