Although built in 1790, Woodburn did not become the Delaware governor’s mansion in Dover until 1965. Residents include several ghosts, like Charles Hillyard, the original owner. He has been seen drinking wine next to the fireplace. Other supernatural sightings have occurred outside, including a young girl and a slave keeper.
