This stunning sculpture of a man with raised arms surrounded by rings is called “Freedom.” It was a gift to Hillsborough County in 2000 by ProLogis Trust. The 12 foot, bronze and steel artwork was created by sculptor Jerry Meatyard. It stands in the Joe Chillura Courthouse Square. In the background are some downtown buildings and in the center is a silver dome from the 1892 courthouse.
