Outside of Jackson, Mississippi’s Central Station, which was built in 1904, is the Fallen Fire Fighters’ Memorial. This bronze statue was dedicated in 2000. It depicts a fireman carrying a young child in his arms while the latter clutches a stuffed toy. At the base are the names of Mississippi firefighters who died while on duty.
