He reached almost instant fame after first appearing in a comic strip by Chic Young in 1933. Apparently, after a long career at the J.C. Dithers & Company, he has a new job that capitalizes on his iconic Dagwood Sandwich. It and other sub sandwiches can be ordered at the Blondie’s restaurant in Toon Lagoon at Islands of Adventures.
