The princes were visiting Éze, France, a small medieval village that clung to a mountainside. They were about a fifteen-minute drive away. Éze sits 1,400 feet high on the eastern edge of the French Riviera. On a clear day, you can see the famous resort towns of Saint Tropez, Cannes and Nice. This peninsula has been inhabited for over 4,000 years and was a playground for kings and the wealthy during the 19th century.
