His first glimpse of the stunning Bay of Angels was tarnished by a tailgating jackass. Bay of Angels (Baie des Anges) was not named for the angelic atmosphere, warm sunshine, expansive beaches and lovely promenades. The origin comes from the squatina angelus, a shark that has two fins shaped like angel wings. But don’t worry … it has not been seen in these waters since the 19th century.
