When he reached Place du Casino, the square at the geographical heart of Monaco was abuzz with sightseers of every age, shape and nationality. Someday he hoped to visit again as a tourist or, better yet, as a resident, but not as an assassin. Encircling Place du Casino are Casino de Monte-Carlo (background), Café de Paris and Hôtel de Paris. All three exclusive properties are owned by the Société des Bains de Mer de Monaco (SBM), a publicly traded company. The Government of Monaco and the royal family are the majority stakeholders.
