Michelle deliberated until mustering the fortitude to repel the guilt. She walked through the Sea Gate, an arched entry into Kotor. Looming above a pillory was a limestone clock tower. A dominate feature of Trg od Oružja, Kotor’s largest square, is the Clock Tower built in 1602. The two faces were added in 1810. At the base is a pillory once used to publicly abuse and ridicule prisoners. From this point, narrow paths lead in four directions through Stari Grad (Old Town). Each one has its own visual rewards.
