Above the entrance of the Monte Carlo casino is this seashell pediment and clock but, most notable, are the two bronze sculptures of sprites or fairies that are carrying torches. They were added to the façade in 1906 by architect Arthur Demerié. Sixteen years before, in 1890, electricity had been added to the casino.
