There is no mistaking the identity of this silhouette profile: Bob Hope. This legendary comedian, singer and movie star spent over 50 years entertaining troops from World War II until the Persian Gulf War in 1991. This bronze statue on Harbor Drive is called “National Salute to Bob Hope and the Military” and is a tribute to his 57 USO tours. He died in 2003 at the age of 100.
