Will Rogers, the famous vaudeville performer, movie star and social humorist, was also the first honorary mayor of Beverly Hills. He helped spearhead the development of this City Hall in 1932. After 80 years, two things have not changed: this Spanish Revival landmark still houses the local government offices and Will’s quote, “A fool and his money are soon elected,” is still true.
