If time permits, stroll along the cobblestones of Rua Bernardo Ramos, the city’s first street. Flanking this historic center are row buildings once owned by Portuguese merchants. They are painted in a spectrum of pastel colors. The street’s namesake was the founder of the Geographical and Historical Institute of Amazonas.
