If you want to enjoy a live theater production while downtown LA, the best venue is the Ahmanson Theater. It is part of the Los Angeles Music Center complex. Each season it presents several productions ranging from Broadway shows, comedies, musicals and dramas. It is named after its major benefactor Howard Ahmanson, Sr. who was the founder of a financial company.
